If the availability box “Commercial” is ticked it means that the test facility is available on commercial terms. “Research” means it is possible to have test scarried out in a joint research project with the owners of the facility. This is usually at a reduced cost, but also limits confidentiality as it is expected to result in the publishing of scientific papers. Student project means it is possible to propose a project for e.g. master degree students that are writing their thesis in the research environment connected to the test facility and that it is possible to have tests carried out by proposing projects to them. This reduces the cost significantly, but can take longer. Regardless of which availability box(es) is ticked, the owner is not obliged to carry out tests when they are contacted.
